No Index.html on the Host

I'm sure I have done something wrong. It seems all my images have transferred to godaddy hosting, but according to them my index.html is not on the hosting directory nor several of my pages. I feel like I missing a step when I transfer my website to godaddy. I save the site. I have the host/user/passcode/port information correct. Do I need to do something after saving my website but before transferring it to godaddy?

Thanks

Chuck

When you say transfer, do you mean you copied files manually with a ftp program like FileZilla, or did you republish all of your site to GoDaddy?

I left Weebly and went to godaddy

that is when I started to use WYSISYG

when I designed my site I published to godaddy hosting

they claim I don't have an index.html file so my site will not show up on the internet

so I'm thinking on starting over-back several years ago I was using some software from Web Studio 5-so I think I knew enough to pick up where I left off-guess not

Ok you say that you do not have a index.html page on the server. Can you please say what does the structure of your site look like in the site manager (screenshot if possible) i.e. what is the first page named? is it index? or is it possible you have renamed to home. In general the first page should always be named index.html as this is the norm.

Although it is possible to use home.html in place of index.html it does require you to set this up on your server via a .htaccess file. I am just asking to try and eliminate why you don't have a index on your server.

It may also be that you have set that the index should not be published as this could explain why it doesn't show up on the server. So as already asked please provide a screenshot or describe the structure of the site manager

this might be a little off topic-but first I can get my site to show up on all my computers but one. On that one computer when I type in 908elmstreet.com it takes me to google search and displays my old website. I have cleared the browsing history on google chrome, cleared the DNS via ipconfig/flushdns, still old site shows up any suggestions

again thanks for all the help, awesome forum

Looks like you have sorted the issue with the missing index.html. Did you do a delete browser cache? Ctrl + F5 if the first doesn't help you may need repeat. You could also use the following
