UI Style Homepage Menu Design

Hi all.
I was thinking rather than using any traditional style menu for a homepage I would design a UI style homepage menu where tabs can be clicked to take you to website content. The links don't take you anywhere at the moment this project is in the early stages of just designing the layout for the homepage.
The UI style homepage menu is responsive and seems to work fine in all viewing ports. What do you think of the design?
