I have created a new post for this and removed from the 'margins post' to keep that tidy.

If a column has a 'Multi-Color Gradient' background, it doesn't appear to be responsive with the grid, ie it does not shrink/expand to fit the width of the page/space available. All other gradient types seem to be fine, it's just the Multi-Color ones

Is this a Bug?

Note that some gradients are published as images, so they cannot be responsive .
This is not a bug. It's just not possible in HTML (yet). See also the comments about this in the help.

I think you have answered it, Multi-Color Gradients must be published as 'an image' unlike the other background options.
