Hi All,
For those that are using cPanel or a Wholesale Console above a cPanel - does your Console/cPanel have Apache SpamAssassin or Spam Experts please?

Hi.
We are using a shared hosting with cPanel. SpamAssassin has been working very well for us. We monitored it for a year before switching to death mode (sort of speaking) for the spams.

Hi Colin. My hosting company provides "SpamAssassin" is automatically activated when I create an account. Works ok as long as I don't use some advanced PHP scripts. The PHP forms in WWB is ok, but if I implement 3rd part scripts like blogs, shops etc I usually have to turn the SpamAssassin OFF.
So I always turn it off if I use 3rd part PHP scripts

Mine uses Apache SpamAssassin but I have it disabled.
I don't trust s/w to filter emails!

Hi Thomas - Now THAT is an interesting comment because I presume some or all of those scripts are PHP Jabbers ones. I have Clients that use PHP Jabbers scripts and Spam Assassin is deployed. What were the issues please?

WWBMAN - Hmmm, interesting approach - what do you use as an alternative - filters rules?

I use Mailwasher Pro. It flags emails it
thinks are spam but I decide which to delete.
Its efficacy improves the more you use it.
I’ve been using it for at least ten years!

Noticed that PHP Jabbers scripts that contains verification and autoresponded emails have problems with SpamAssassin. The email templates doesn't get updated when making changes in them.

That's interesting Thomas. I haven't had that issue. Just tested one of my Clients and it was fine. Have you taken your issue up with PHPJabbers support?
