I want to click on a small image to open a completely different image in a lightbox on the same page but I seem to be only able to open the same image enlarged.
What do I use to achieve this please?

If you use the photo gallery, you can insert your own thumbnail. So you would make the the thumbnail image1 and then the image that opens in the lightbox be image2.

- add an image to the page
- in the link section, set the link type to 'file', select another image and set the target window to 'lightbox'

or

- add a photo gallery, here you can select a different large and small (thumbnails) image.

Thank you for your previous help. I still can't achieve what I want though. Maybe I didn't explain it well.
I have a jpg image of a button with "Menu" on it. When I click on it, I want it to open, in a lightbox, a different jpg image i.e the actual menu.
I tried using photo gallery and also using a link. Link does work but I am restricted to using the default lightbox which is not particularly attractive. The others choices simply do not work. With photo gallery, I can't see how to add both images.

Where am I going wrong please?

You can set the global lightbox for links in the page properties.

In the photo gallery you can set two images, one for the thumbnail and one for the large image.
