Layoutgrid vimeo player

I have a number of vimeo video's I'd like to use as background images for the layoutgrid on my site. However, no matter what combination I use, I can't seem to figure out how to use the player.vimeo.com embeded player. I've tried using the <iFrame> as well and failed. How can I use the playback option with my own content?

In the background properties of the layout grid, set the mode to 'video'
Then copy/paste the URL of the Vimeo video.

Okay, so I figured out how to get the link from Vimeo, but now he video itself is not playing. I pasted it into a browser and the video does, indeed, play. Just not within my project.

The URL has the wrong format, it should be:
https://player.vimeo.com/video/458329368
