I need to let users upload their own pic as their avatar in their profile

After login, each user will be in a page with a predefined avatar. I need to let users to upload their own picture to use in place of avatar. How can I use file uploader? Is there any deep detailed document for file uploader?

If you use the built-in Login tools then users can upload their avatar image via their login profile.
