Upgrade from WB12 to WB16

Post by Bazza2 »

Hello Pablo
Obviously I have been happy with WB12 as I am still using it but I think it is time to upgrade to WB16.

I have two questions, if you wish to give more information I will not complain.

Upon upgrading will my WB12 files convert into WB16 files without an issue.

I read in your posts that if I purchase WB16 I will be entitled to a free upgrade to WB17 when it is released.

Please confirm that and I should be good to go otherwise I will wait for WB17.

Also many thanks for a great product I am finding it easy to use and an enjoyable experience.

Kind Regards
Barry

Your WB12 project files should open in WB16 without any issue. You can try this yourself by downloading the trial version.
And if something does not work or looks different then its most likely because the settings are not the same for both versions.

If you purchase WB16 now, then you will get a free upgrade to WB17.

Get the 64bit version. Works much smoother with larger files/projects. Just be sure to upgrade any 32bit extensions you use to the 64bit version. You won't regret the upgrade.

Hello Pablo
Sorry I missed this post and in the meantime I have purchased 32bit

I am happy though and apart from having to replace some bold text that did not take to nicely to the upgrade from 12 to 16
it transitioned fine.

I do not have big files so I am happy.
Perhaps I can look at it when I upgrade to 17 when it becomes available.

I wasn't aware that you purchased a 'version' (32 or 64 bit). I thought you purchased the product and could download either (or both).
