I added a YouTube video as a background and also using the YouTube Media but it does not show or work. Are these being blocked? I am using version 15.

I doubt that they are getting blocked unless the content is inappropriate!. This is not related to the use of the software but is most likely due to the url to the YouTube video is incorrect or invalid!. Please provide the url you are trying to use so it can be checked.

I am seeing the media youtube working now but cannot get the background video to work.

Did you read from the"Help' regarding this? The YouTube url should be https://www.youtube.com/embed/WtiKpX58-iI instead of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtiKpX58-iI

Still showing as black background, is this because of the "image only" setting in the Layout Grid.

What is the URL of the page?

I have not uploaded the site as yet, I am only previewing in chrome browser. Should I upload the site?

there is no way for us to help diagnose a problem without at least seeing the site live or you sharing a demo project. Simply saying I get a black screen doesn't tell us much as there are thousands of options and settings in WB.
