Theer are no knows issue with WWB17, it seems to work correct for all pother users.
In many case, it should actually be faster.

About the 'lockup'"
Maybe you have enabled auto backup in Tools -> Options -> Backup?

To be able to help you, I need more details.
Where does it stop working?

turning off backup helps - any other hints to speed this baby up ?

I assume you are using the 64bit version?
Where exactly do you experiencing slow performance?

If you are getting a black screen while uploading to your host it most likely means you have large files (images,video, etc). This is normal and not the fault of WWB 17. Also make sure your file names conform to WWB requirements (17 warns you unless you have opted to turn it off).

I have gone back to using 16. on 16 i can get some work done. 17 is very very very slow. for example i try to highlight some text it takes forever. I want to move something, it takes for ever. It is like running windows when it first came out.
i request some help. can i have my money back till this thing work like 16?

I have been using WB17 since the beta version and have had no issues with speed. It's as fast as WB16 or better. If you are having issues, then there has to be something with your computer and the settings. What those are is hard to say. The more info you can provide Pablo the better he can try and help. Is it slow when you start with a fresh project or only when you load a previous project? Do you have another computer you can install it on to test it? Have you compared ALL settings between WB16 and WB17? If this was a widespread issue, we would all be reporting this so this makes me believe it has something to do with your system.

Are you using the 64bit version of the software?.
What is your system specifications? Processor? Memory? Mechanical Drive or SSD? Graphics onboard (sharing memory) or Card Nvidia, AMD

You have said in your own words keep the 74.38 why now ask for a refund? and generally refunds are not given once you have activated then the software then it is yours.

I take it you mean you would rather use Q&E Web Builder rather than WWB 17?.

I want it to work - the money is not the issue - working like 16 is the issue - I love the product, ie, 16 - i was sure i would love 17 - but - but - the 74.00 was for upgrading to the linux version and they could verify i removed 17.... that was ignored ....so 16 works great .. why did i pay for 17 .. i am not mad - i love the product - i just want it to work - and i like bacon and fries also - so will it get better and will the bugs (very slowness ) get fixed. - i am sure they will fix it - pablo is great ...oldtony

Totally confused now what software/program did you purchase? Quick and Easy for Linux or WYSIWYG Web Builder 17 on Windows? Again to get "Help" can you please please answer what has been asked Pablo can only "Help" sort, resolve this for you if you provide as much information as possible just saying it is slow doesn't help. Are you trying to emulate Windows on a Linux system?

I do not think something needs to be 'fixed'. This is most likely a configuration issue.
Did you make sure all settings are the same for both version 16 and 17?
Have you installed the 64bit version? Did you also use the 64bit version of version 16?
Did you disable all auto backup options?
Maybe the software runs in compatibility mode?
or maybe you have added larger images to the page?

Please also read all the suggestions from other users (BaconFries, cripsy68).
The more information you can give me, the sooner I can find a solution for you. But you will need to be more specific.

yes i was WRONG ! my issue was the monitor setup. The computer was configured for 2 monitors but the second monitor was not connected. When i reconfigured the display now every this is OK. thanks for all the input and help
