I see its pretty easy to display the contents of a mysql database.
But i do not seem to be able to find a way of incorporating a mysql query, and also formatting the output layout.
Any advice and demos or tutorials please.
Many thanks in advance

You can insert custom code via the Page HTML or an HTML object.
The formatting of custom code is up to you, because it's your code.

I think DataTables extension might fit my requirements
But in trying to use the demo it says that the extension has been created with a newer version of WYSIWYG
I am using the latest version 17.0.5
Any ideas please.
The 2 files I am trying to open are DataTables.wbx64 and/or DataTables.uwbx

The latest version of the software is WYSIWYG Web Builder 17.1.0
See the following:

I think you are using the extension the wrong way.
You will need to install it via the Extension Manager, not open it via the file menu.

I downloaded the extension as per instructions on the
http://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/datatables.html
ie
Download demo version (save disabled)
Datatables Extension
In my naivety i tried to use it by clicking on the files. Maybe my comment about Datatables, re WYSIWYG version might have been right, as I was running v17.0.5 and not v17.1.0

The extension comes with a PDF document which describes how to install and use the extension.
