Is it possible to create html emails in WWB?
Some clients want to diversify the form of the letter.
Did anyone have such an experience and how did they manage to implement it?
Thank you. With best wishes.

WWB was not designed to create HTML email, because most email applications have limited support for modern HTML and CSS features.
So, 90% of the options will not work in emails.

Thank you. It was the answer from the forum that was needed, as I tried to explain to clients that each software is tailored to its task.

I would be happy with 10% of the possibilities, but to use the user-friendly interface of WWB. Believe me, you will have excellent sales if you offer Wisiwyg Email Builder.

Good evening! I completely agree with Yonov! Such a program (or the mode of operation in the WYSIWYG WB itself) from Pablo would be a good and user-demanded product/option. The website and e-mail are tools of communication with the user, in my opinion it is logical that they should be implemented within the framework of WYSIWYG WB, which makes this program with broader functionality and capabilities.
We hope for a positive response to user requests :)

I support this strongly.
What about a WYSIWYG mode where CSS and similar functionality is turned off, and cannot be used?
I am using WWB for this purpose now, and I do get a problem with Outlook on the web.

If 90% of the functionality is removed to be compatible with email applications then you basically end up with the standard outlook editor.
I do not see the point.

I have spent months looking at emailing newsletters which are a good example of html emails. Many developers agree that to compile a newsletter and have all email programs display it as intended, is extremely difficult. There are a number of online options that offer html emails that you could use in WWb, or you could use a drag & drop like Unlayer.

There are no few options for newsletters creator. Always are the same ideas: unlayer, sendblaster, mailstyler…so I believe that a WYSIWYG mail creators from Pablo will be a perfect to us. 😋

I have now made some tests, and have come to the conclusion that emails can be created in WWB by applying the following rules:
1. Use only a single text frame. This is not really all that limiting since this can be of any size, and formatting can be applied to the text.
2. Have a column with no text for pictures. Pictures may then move up or down slightly without affecting the text.
3. Add pictures in this column. Right-click and select Merge objects. Then select Object properties and select JPG Medium size, good quality. If not the pictures will be of varying size in some email readers.
4. Add all links as External Web Address
5. Add a View in browser link.

When applying these principles, the emails will be perfect in Thunderbird and other email programs which can interpret advanced html.
In Gmail and Outloook Web, all the text and links will be OK, but all the pictures will come at the end in correct size. But, by clicking View in browser, the recipients can see the correct email with the pictures in the right place.

I also tried to add a single table instead of a single text frame. This will give a perfect result in all email readers, as far as I could see. But the emails became 100 times bigger (many MBs). The size could not be explained only by pictures being sent along immediately, so there must be some considerable overhead due to the table. I could not see any way of defining picture formats, so I could not select JPG as in the case with the text frame.

Pablo: Is there any way the table or table items can be formatted to solve the size problem when using a single table?
I use Sendblaster 4 to send the emails.

NIce.. Nice.. Good extension Graham. I have to admit it does what it says. I was thinking if pablo made it would it be more advanced, but still whoever makes it adds great service to wwb. So we appreciate your extension.
