Notes tool not working

Pablo, could you please take a look at this. I found the Notes tool not working on my computer. I attached a file to show the problem.

I downloaded your file and the notes work perfect you have lorum ipsum text in the sample you provied.
Could it be something to do with Windows 7 your using as its not supported anymore. I tested on Windows 10/11 and its perfect

As Grahams reply on Windows7 it may be related to not having Direct2D support see the following:
From the download section.
Note: for Windows 7 you may need to install DIrect2D support.

Maybe time to upgrade to Windows10/11 as Windows7 is no longer supported by Microsoft themselves. It will probably save you hassle in the future with 'New' releases of WWB.

Your project also works for me.
Note that technically there is no difference between a "Notes' object and a normal text object.
The only difference is that the notes do not get published.
So, if normal text work then note should also work.

I had updated my OS as you have suggested but with no luck. I am planning to upgrade to Windows 10.

Thank you for looking at the file and pointing out the source of the problem. I thought it was a bug in WWB but it turned out to be an OS issue.
@Pablo
I find the Notes tool to be handy. With it I can record the process on how I did things in a particular project.
