Website with "posting" capability

I host a personal website on my own linux server (nginx). I want to have a feature for the 'events' section of my wesbite. Example might be, I go to a hidden page (http://mywebsite.com/hiddenpage) where it allows me to upload pictures with text description. This would auto populate on my events page. It would also allow me to delete previous uploads or posts. Sort of like my own facebook wall page I guess... are there any templates for this? Sure seems like there would be, I just haven't found any.
