How to Clone the index page?

Post by bgcwaterman »

I am wanting to create multiple index pages with different seasonal content. When I clone the index page, change the content and save as a different name like "index_open_house" for use later. I upload the page and its items to my server, change the file name to "index" it does not load all the content that it had in wysiwyg. what am doing wrong?

Are you using external CSS and JS files? If so, these also need to be changed.

I am new to this so I think I am using a external CSS file because in the published folder there is a .CSS file with the same name. I assume it is updated because I have never had to change this file with any of the other pages. I don't know about JS files. I don't see any.

If you do it all within the software then the files will be generated automatically.

I thought so.. What makes the index file special other than the name that makes it the first page the server looks for?

If you change the name of the page then the CSS and JS files may also get a different name.
So you will need to make sure that you publish all files.

Nothing. It's just another page.
