Selective Uploads

I have a page with a menu populated with links to local media files. Whilst the page may be modified frequently, the bulk of the media files remain unchanged. When I publish the selected page, all the media files are also re-published, even when 'Publish files of modified objects only' is selected.
Am I doing something wrong ? How do I avoid re-publishing unchanged files linked from the menu ?

First note that support for version 15 has ended.

You can set 'do not publish assets' for each object to prevent files from be included in the upload.

I strongly suspected that my version was out of support, that is why I posted my question on the forum rather than support. I certainly did not expect a response from the head man ! Thanks Pablo. I found the option you referred to.
