how do I make the correct margins and borders ?

I have such a question. I make the site header from the layout grid, but then I put another grid, the content that is placed on the second layout grid that is lower than the header, that is, for the first layout grid. Why is this happening? sometimes half of the content is placed on the second grid. I give indents, but they have large values , is this the way to do it ? or am I doing something wrong ?

that is, half of the content on the second layout grid seems to be hiding behind the first one.

To be able to help you, I need a DEMO project (.wbs file) so I can see all your settings.
I do not need the complete project because that will only take more time to figure out what you have done.
Basically, I just need a small project with one page and object(s) that are relevant to your question.
For further details about how to share a project file, please see this FAQ:

I need to give a large indent to the layout grid that is lower, so that it does not go beyond the site header

The header is set to 'fixed' so that is why other (floating) content is behind it. So, this is excepted behavior.
You can add top margin to the first layout grid to add extra spacing.
