Post by thomasp »

Dear All,
i activated wysiwyg in 2022. Now wysiwyg starts and the program is not activated - I should buy it because its trial version. When i start it the registration screen doesn't come up. I disabled virus scanners and installed the latest version. I have no chance to activate the program. Please help me.

Have you uninstalled and reinstalled it correctly? Have you tried using the licence on the version you bought? Did you buy the latest version and try?

Many thanks for your quick response.
I bought version 18.01 - download (27.12.2022).
I have uninstlled and installed this version. Again starting the programm there is no window for registration. On the main page I find under HELP the icon with the tray for buying the product.
I have no chance to register with the seriell number.

What do you mean correct deinstallation? I used app and deinstallation. I deleted the installation folder.
Is there a special programm for deinstallation or are changes in registry necessary?

Deleting a folder is not the proper way of uninstalling it. You have to do it from the softwares folder there is a dedicated uninstaller in that folder where the program is installed. Or you can also uninstall it from the control panel.

As @bacon said please contact @pablo for licence issues. That is the only way.

But deleting folder from directory is the wrong way of uninstalling the software. It does not delete the registry keys. Only uninstalling properly and installing it properly can have a clean impact on operating the software.

At first I use the standard way: windows - apps - deinstallation. After that I deleted the folder on Drive C.

That is fair enough I think. Did you try it on other computer and try installing it there and test if same thing happens?

Hi,

The last version of WYSIWYG which I paid to update to, is Version 15. Even though I know there is currently Version 18, I have found Version 15 perfectly adequate for my basic needs, especially that I have now effectively retired. However, I did pay for a licence, and can confirm this as follows, leaving out some letters for obvious reasons:

WWB15-2***-H***-4***-3***-N***, and the same email address as the original one.

Now, when I look through my website off-line, on the bottom of each page, I can now see the little 'Built with Web-Builder 15' logo, which I of course had originally wanted to show at just one location of my choice.

Clicking the item, I get the following message, to the effect that I am seeing these 'Built with...' messages on every page, as the 'site was built with DEMO version' - which isn't the case.

I have done nothing to the settings so cannot understand this, as I've never been 'coerced' into buying an upgrade, as it has always been voluntary.

The only thing that has changed is that the guy who organises my web-hosting provider, needed to change to KRYSTAL Hosting from July of this year, and, because I had made little or few amendments to my site since then, perhaps I didn't notice off-line, because logo always appears at the very bottom of each whole page, so I don't see this on the online version.

Any help would be gratefully received. Thanks!

First please note that WWB15 is no longer supported. No one is "coercing" you to update to the latest version that is your choice entirely. If you have a issue with your activation then you can contact Pablo at orders@pablosoftwaresolutions.com
To remove the "logo" you should read the following url.
How do I remove the 'Built With' logo from a page?

Hi, many thanks!

I am sorry that by using the word 'coerce', even in brackets, I somehow seemed to imply that there has ever been any suggestion of needing to update for the sake of updating. Many apologies. I will give the matter further consideration and see if my better option in the long term might well be to upgrade - of my own volition - even if some of the many new features since v 15 might not be beckoning out to me to make use of them.

But you helps and links are invaluable, and most relevant, and I will investigate them as soon as possible!

Many thanks - always much appreciated!

While I have no problem activating WWB 18 the issue is that after about 5-10 mins of use the software reverts to trial use.

So I re-insert the activation string and everything seems hunky-dory until, after 5-10 mins of use I get a box with the message: "Critical Exeption! Please contact support to reset your license." after which I have to re-insert the activation string again.

I would appreciate any constructive suggestion to assist with this problem.

I've never seen that and I activated WWB18 on a new PC 2 days ago.

How much memory do you have and what system are you running it on?
