Hello,

I've been asked to update some photographs on a website.

On the index page, the lower half photos have updated no problem. But the top half photos do not appear.
All that can be seen is Level1 . Level2 etc, with no background image
When previewing the page, everything looks fine.
So frustrating! Any help greatly appreciated.

The filenames are invalid.

Please read:
viewtopic.php?t=131

Typically, if it looks correct in preview but not when published, it means you have not uploaded all the new files or files are missing.

Are you referring to the section that says Level 1 Pilates - Level 3 Pilates? If so, in looking at the code I don't even see a reference to a background image. Also, make sure your images don't contain spaces. Use a hypen to separate words when naming an image file.

Hmmm, sorry about the filenames being invalid. Not sure what I've done there...

But thank you for the link, and also the possibility of the files not uploading. I'll also check the file names don't have spaces.

I've renamed the files and re-uploaded,but still the images don't show up. Just the text at the botton of the boxes that say Level1, Level2, Level3.

I just can't see where I'm going wrong. it seems such a simple thing - to replace some old photos with new ones.
Hopefully the code shows background images for each of the three panels of the layout grid.
The layout grid itself is set to transparent.

Although you have said you have renamed the images did you remove the old from the server and did you upload the new? on viewing the following three are not on your server

Yeah those are the old files that I had to replace with new photos.
The new updated ones that go in their place are:

level-one-pilates-index-page
level-two-pilates-index-page
chris-fraser-pilates-sheffield-level-three-index-page

I've now deleted the old photos from both the local Images folder and the one on the server too.

It's strange how the photos on the lower half of the index page are appearing no problem (although that is a Photo Gallery)
But the images on the upper part of the page aren't appearing. The difference being, the upper ones are on a layout grid.

All I did was go into the layout grid / double click on the first column / double click on the Images Folder, and point it to the new photo.The I repeated this for the other two columns (three in total). But instead of the new photos apearing, there are just blank spaces where the old photos used to be.

It seemed to publish correctly for me and looks correct. I changed nothing. Maybe there is some issue with your upload?

Ron did you take a look at the following url of the site? you should notice images missing as you scroll down these are the ones I refer to. Can you check and see.

Yes, on the classes page the images are missing from the server which is why they are not seen.

However, on his index page that he mentioned in the first post they are missing due to the fact that code doesnt even show the background is supposed to be an image. There is no reference to a background image at all.

You must be right. It has to be an upload issue. You link works perfectly.
I'm using filezilla, so maybe need to check it's working okay.

Yeah, the reason thry are missing is because the photos on the classes page were the same as the ones on the index page. I deleted them, thes they need to be replaced with the same new ones...
