I don't seem to be able to adjust the height of text boxes.
Width and position are adjustable as expected.

You have inserted a line feed before and after the text. Remove them and change the block height with the paddind property.

The height of a text box is always 'fixed' based on the content and padding.
You can control this behavior via the 'overflow' property.
