I want to add a simple search function to my website that will enable to visitor to look for available patters in the galleries. I look at page 76 in the manual, but I am seeing how to addd this option? I did a search on the forum, but most started after install of a seach engine and were solving some issue. Suggestions? I did look at included extensions and tried "Google Search Box", but there are no instructions on install and use.

Apart from the mentioned extension have you looked at the following? How to add a site search to your website?
Note there is a "Help" file for all extension(s) to access it you simply click on "Help" at the bottom right of the extension(s) as it is in PDF format you will need to have the likes of Adobe PDF reader installed or something similar.
If either of these is not suitable then you will need to install a third party script from a external source.

All extensions include a PDF document. The PDFfile has the same name as the extension.

The site search tool is explained here:

I tried the site search, but it was not finding the text under the pictures in the gallery. Is there another one that would accomplish this?

Maybe the search index is set to text only?
