Installing a guestbook

Post by AudioBill »

My host, Bluehost has a guestbook http://phpversion.com/ add-on. Has anyone had any experience with this add-on?

Thanks,

Bill

I would personally give this a miss due to it being antiquated (outdated). 4.4 was first released on 11 July 2005 with support ending 7 August 2008 which makes it 16 years old. I believe if you contacted your host and asked what the current version of php running they will reply saying 8.x.x. As of the 19th December 2024 PHP 8.4.2 was released!. Another potential risk of using older scripts such as 4.4 they can be more vulnerable to attacks from hackers giving you more headaches than you need. As mentioned give it a miss and find one that more upto date.
