WHat does Link Manager actually do when verifying?

I have a load of external links in my web site and they all work just fine. However, Link Manager will not verify any link starting with https://scouts.org.uk or https://www.scouts.org.uk. The site is there and my web site connects to it when a user clicks on a link.

So, what does Link Manager do when it verifies and why does it fail with that one web site?

The link manager tries to connect to the website to verify if the link is ok.
In this case, the website is protected by Cloudflare.
So, the connection may be blocked by Cloudflare, because WWB is not a browser.
