Maybe you have enabled automatic backup, but the backup folder is not accessible or full?
Tools -> Options -> Backup
There are no known issues with crashes. All known issues have been fixed in the latest update.
If you need further assistance then please describe the exact steps to reproduce the issue.

It only takes about five minutes of manipulating the project on this page.
https://pixell.com/download.php
I've also posted what my backup settings are there.
What strange is
it is doing periodic backups in the location specified and that location is accessible even though its not set to do auto backups n settings.
I also have WWB 19 and 18 installed on same machine if that matters..
what should I try?

There must be more to it, otherwise it would crash for everybody doing that. I can place a card container on my index page without it crashing.
Can you provide a one-page WWB file that demonstrates this behaviour?

I have posted a video of it crashing here:
https://pixell.com/download.php
Also posted there is my two-page sample project that I'm attempting to insert the card container in the index page.
It's immediate and repeatable
I assume that some environmental variable on my end but I don't know where to look

Does the same thing happen in a brand new WWB file (one page with nothing else on it)?
Using your supplied file, with images added, I cannot replicate the problem.

I also was not able to reproduce the problem with the project you have shared.
However, it looks like the project in your video is different than the one you have shared?
Can you please share the exact same project?

I blew that project away and started a new one and it seems to be working..
I don't know what was up with it, but I won't worry about it.
Sorry for the goose chase and thanks for your help!
I'm still trying to decide on using a master page OR master frame and can't seem to find a strong reason one way or the other, does it matter for a simple product based website?

Well, looks like I spoke too soon, I started a brand-new project created an index page and pointed towards a master page I also created and as soon as I create a card container it crashes. see screen shot.
you can now download version 8 of this project here:

I re-created the project in WWB 19 and so far it's working fine.
But I notice on flex grid properties there's no option to select floating as a footer for master page.. I right clicked on it and selected move to bottom but that didn't seem to do anything, how do I get flex grid in 19 stay at the bottom?

I'm sorry, WB19 does not have this feature.
Also, I am not sure why you want to a flex grid for this. I recommend to keep your footer simple/lightweight, for example use a layout grid.
But I think it's better to focus on getting WB20 to work. It should not crash, so we need to figure out why it does not work for you.
Unfortunately, I am still not able to reproduce the issue with your project.

To try and resolve this and to discover what might be the issue to why WWB20 is crashing for you can you please uninstall any and all previous versions of WWB such as WWB19/18 etc. Then do a clean up of all temp files in system cache so that it removes anything associated with older versions to that it is just and solely WWB20 you are working with and then try and see if it is still crashing.
You can of course backup everything associated with any older versions first incase you need to go back.

Pablo, I agree with you I do want to get 20 working but he in the interim I am trying to learn WWB, and since I only get about three minutes with 20 I am going to 19 to practice.
I'm using a flex grid for the footer, because I don't know what I'm doing yet, but now that you have made suggestion I will use a layout grid.
Bacon, I will do the uninstalls, what do you recommend I do to go about clearing the temp files in the system cash?
Thanks for hanging in there with me on this!

Here is what AI says
To clear system cache and temp files on Windows, use Settings > System > Storage > Temporary files for a guided cleanup, or press Win + R, type %temp% and delete files manually. For browsers, clear cache in settings (e.g., Chrome's "Clear browsing data"). On Android, go to Settings > Apps > [App Name] > Storage > Clear cach

I wouldn't really be to concerned about Android it is more to do with your PC as this is what WWB in running on so hence why you do the clearing of system cache just in case it is bogged down. I would also suggest checking that Windows is upto date as well. Also how have you installed the software? are you using the likes of One drive or the cloud? or just directly on your PC/Laptop.

I "think" I may have figured this out..
Looks to me like When you save a project, it saves that in a folder That you designate, then creates another sub folder for the images.
I was saving the project where there wasn't an images subfolder that WWB knew where they were. Although when the project loaded and did show the images.
Or something similar where WWB doesn't know where to get the images,
I looked in tools/options/files and folders to see where the program was looking to to get its images but couldn't find anything.
So I think it's working, I will run it for the rest of the day

Yes, seems like that was it. My images were in the same folder as the project not in a subfolder.
If you try to re-create this I will be curious if you find the same thing
