Is there a tutorial on how to set up a news ticker with input from a google alert? I've setup the alert and got the rss feed "several lines of code", but I do not know what to do next.

I'm sorry. I am not familiar with Google Alert.
You may need to use a custom script for this.

You can use the HTML object to add your own scripts.

OK... I ended up using RSS.app and used the News Feed Ticker.

Oh darn that RSS.app is not free. Does anyone have an example of how they took the google news alert and made it readable via the news ticker?

I to are not aware but the following quote below may be why it doesn't work. But with RSS.app they will have written a "Custom" script to handle it and hence it not "free"

"Directly fetching Google Alerts via API is generally not possible// because Google doesn't provide a public API for this."

Now with that said it will require a "Custom" script of sorts.

OK... well I guess I can now only wish for an "adapted news ticker"
