Re: Designing for mobile users
Thanks both for the pointers.... This particular website (more of a web-page) has been mooted for at least the last 18 months - so, once the client comes up with the content, I'm hoping he won't want it done 'immediately'. My other business is staned-glass and fused-glass - and I'm at the back end ...

Re: Designing for mobile users
I've tried the 'fully responsive' mode with the layers and stuff provided here, but I found it quite limiting as I only have partial control over where things go. So, I now write using the 'adaptive' method. I have done 4 sites so far and all seem to work as I expect them to. I set the default ...

Re: Designing for mobile users
Yep, I resisted for a couple of years then realized I had to bite the bullet and go with the flow, a frustrating but interesting exercise. Understand about the 'interesting' aspect - just a matter of finding the time... as web design isn't really my main activity any more.... Old dog, new tricks ...

Re: Designing for mobile users
Hi Roger Thanks.... To be honest - I've kind of shied away from the whole 'adapting to mobile phones' issue - but it seems that an awful lot of people are browsing the web on mobile devices.. so I guess I'd better try and catch up! It was just this question of where the 'bottom end' is....? - before ...

HI Folks I know that there's a separate 'responsive design' forum - but this is probably less of a detailed techy quesition - and more of a general one..? Nowadays, I don't do a lot of website design - mostly maintaining my own website and just a few other 'older' sites. All of these have 'Google ...

Re: shopping cart postage
(Aren't they always!) So true.... This one especially. The product is a seasonal crop - some of which may be available 'now', some may be pre-ordered for delivery once it is ready, or if <now> is later in the year, may be shipped now - and customers can order all of one type or a mixture. Postage ...

Turns out the problem / the client's requirements are a great deal more complicated than I outlined.

Thanks for the info about the Paypal shipping options though.

HI Bacon Thanks for the reply. I had no idea that was possible - but then, the client's site is something of a 'legacy' site... HI Folks A client's site currently runs with the Paypal shopping cart - using the 'Add to Cart' and 'Checkout' buttons. Products are currently priced to include postage. Re: Wysiwyg website plus hosted shop website & Google
Thanks Pablo for the swift reply I was afraid you were going to say that! <grin> I guess making a sitemap 'by hand' (by taking the WB14 one and editing) and uploading it wouldn't be the end of the world - looks to have a fairly simple format. I'd just have to remember to include any new WB14 pages ...

Hi Pablo Thanks for the fast reply. She's sent me the wbs file (but not the images), which I've now returned to her. Re: Masterframe / adwords whitespace inserted into page WB14
Is it because (perhaps) they edited their existing site with the trial version of WB14, before actually purchasing it? If the project was saved using the trial version then the logo was added to each page. You can quickly remove the logo from all page with the 'Remove logo' option. >>Brilliant! you ...

OK - so I can't mix and match...
Just so I know - I cannot pass a value from a drop-down list across to Paypal using the ready-made WYSIWYG
Paypal buttons ?
Is that correct ?
So if I wanted to do that, I'd need to do the same thing as the Forms Wizard shows....
Thanks
