Client Shopping Cart

Post by ColinM »

Hi All,

Esp Pablo and George :D

I now have a client (things are getting busy - that's 5 in the last week 8 - plenty for a one person operation!) ) that wants a shopping cart gatewayed to PayPal (only) at this stage, but aren't fussed (yet) about accepting alternative payment methods requiring HTTPS / SSL / Secondary User Side Digital Certs etc etc.

I've skimmed though the following posts:

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=43164&p=215544&hili ... ce#p215544

viewtopic.php?f=39&t=16668&start=705

and

http://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/webshop.html

I'm pretty I read somewhere from Pablo that this is only for a limited number of products - if so what would be a workable maximum?

Does Webshop give the Merchant (Owner of the Site / Admin) a full record of what's being ordered etc?

I've also looked at external third party hosted provided solutions like Ezimerchant (www.ezimerchant.com) - quite easy to set up, LOTS of payment and reporting options - but may be considered pricy by the client on a limited budget and the limited tailoring of the front page (to "look and feel" integrate) is a bit wanting.

Any input would be appreciated.

:D

Webshop PLus 3 allows quite a lot of products. The meaning of "few" only refers to the fact that a "big" company with lots of products and transactions will probably need a cart with search features, categories, stock control, etc. However there is actually no limitation in the number of products Webshop Plus 3.0 can handle.

Regarding the Orders tracing:

Webshop Plus 3.0 stores all order details in a file and you can View / edit / delete orders as required.
It also allows exporting in Excel the orders list as well as printing Orders list and single Orders.

Beside that, it send beautiful HTML emails with all the order details, both to the Admin and the customer.

That's exactly what I wanted to hear (read) :D , I'm sure with your hand in it, it will be spot on! I'm very much looking forward to getting my finger (tips) "dirty" on this 8)

UPDATE EDIT: By the way, my comment:
I'm pretty sure I read somewhere from Pablo that this is only for a limited number of products - if so what would be a workable maximum?
