Re: Background Resize (FREE)
Does this have to have 8 images to run the changing fade? Why not less?
It doesn't seem to work when I preview- with just 3 or even 8 images - set fade rate but only one image loads?
Re: Background Resize (FREE)
Pat100,
The extension is set up to accept a setting of 1 or 8 images. When you select 1 WWB generates different code than if you select 8. The extension expects either 1 image or 8 images.
If you only want 3 images, select 8, and only specify the 3 images but make sure you complete all 8 image property fields. The extension needs to have all 8 completed if 8 are selected. The code will be generated for 8 images and will randomly load one of the "8" images you have specified - even though, you have only specified 3.
So if you have images A, B and C. Make sure the extension has the property fields completed using A, B, C, A, B, C, A and B = 8 images.
If you only want 4 images - A, B, C, D, A, B, C and D ~or~ if you only want 5 images - A, B, C, D, E, A, B and C.

But it doesn't work even with 8 different images. It only loads 1 image.
Re: Background Resize (FREE)
Well it works for me. And the demo has 8 images.
The only thing I can think that you have done is to click on the Image Date property and have then clicked ADD 8 times. You only click on ADD once and specify all 8 images in the one dialogue box. So when you click on the extension now if you see 8 lines of data it's wrong. You should only see one line.
When you open the extension it should look like this:- Continued in next post.....................

And if you click on it you should see this:-
Re: Background Resize (FREE)
I already have entered the images as you show. Preview in browser.
But it still doesn't work. Only1 image loads.

Re: Background Resize (FREE)
Everytime I load the page online or preview locally a random image loads but never any fade as expected.

Re: Background Resize (FREE)
Your fade rate is set to "3". In my demo I have set it to 1800. The value is milliseconds. Try increasing the value.Patr100 wrote:Everytime I load the page online or preview locally a random image loads but never any fade as expected.

Re: Background Resize (FREE)
Changed to 1800.Uploaded.
Now the single random image fades in , but still no sequence.

Re: Background Resize (FREE)
Errrr? It's a RANDOM BACKGROUND IMAGE. So once the page loads (or is refreshed) a RANDOM image is loaded as the background image. It's not a slideshow!Patr100 wrote:Changed to 1800.Uploaded.

If you want something that loads random images as a background and then changes the images in a slide show style you should be using either:-
[1] Camera Slideshow or
[2] Super Sized Slideshow
There's a clue in the extension names.
Re: Background Resize (FREE)
Oh. Ok Thanks for the extension.
Re: Background Resize (FREE)
No worries..........enjoy all three extensions
Re: Background Resize (FREE)
I've found you can use an animated gif for some movement too. which could be useful.
Re: Background Resize (FREE)
Any image you could use as a standard background image can be used in the extension.
Re: Background Resize (FREE)
Hello Paul
Great Extension!
But I can not print a webpage with Firefox or Opera -> Printing works with Internet Explorer, Chrome and Safari.
Do you have a solution for this?
Best regards
André

Sorry, no ideas. Maybe one of the forum gurus can shed some light on that.

Re: Background Resize (FREE)
@cadtec, please note that this is not a fault of the extension or the program, it is a issue qith the two browsers you mention. To be able to print web pages in Firefox you are required to set in up via the browser setting, the following urls should assit you for Firefox anyway, for Opera please consult "Google" with a simply search such as "Print web pages in opera" again this is a browser issue as has nothing to do with the program or any extension that you may use.
How to print websites

Re: Background Resize (FREE)
Then sorry I do not know what maybe be wrong. Please consult all documentation for each browser for further help. Also note that this is not a issue with the program but a feature of the browser.
Re: Background Resize (FREE)
Rob,
If you go to the demo page and set you browser to 1024x768 and make a note of how the image appears and then make the browser bigger you'll see a change in how the image appears. Go full screen and the image changes again. If you have a definitive top and bottom for a background image this wont work in all browser sizes.
