***Update 29/09/13***
Extension has now been updated to the latest version of jQuery files by the original author. It can also now be used with jQuery objects found in WYSIWYG Web Builder 9. Also added the use of an alt tag for the image used in the extension.

*** NOTE***
Before trying to install the extension please remove any older version previously installed this will ensure that you will not have any issues.

***Update 10/01/11***
Update allows the extension to be used alongside Jordans jor_piecemaker2 extension.

***Update 11/12/10***
Small update to the extension to allow the jQuery to be disabled if used alon with another jQuery extension or WB jQuery object all users of previous should update there version...

Full Size Background Image jQuery

All you need is an image you want to have as your background. Once you have that and use the extenion, the image will resize to the full width/height of the browser window. Every time the browser window resizes, so will the background image.

Once again, this extenion is pretty simple so no options are available. It pretty much just does what it does.

@JacyNorgaard Ok you have already answered what I was about to ask you ....What version on WB are you using??? ...reason for this any extenion made with builder 2.5 and above can only be used in WB7....I will see if I see have a copy of a older builder and recompile it and see if it works in WB 6 this will be tomorrow before I can do this....

Love the extension, but it looks like it conflicts with WB Slideshow.

<script type="text/javascript" src="./jquery-1.4.2.min.js"></script> gets written in duplicate.

Would you consider adding to this extension the option to run with other jquery?

I will add a fix to the extension that will allow you to turn of the jQuery so that it can be used with other jQuery extensions/objects in WB. I will do this over the weekend as I have just returned home from being away out of town and needing to catch up on the work front first..

I have tested with accordion and it seems to work fine (my extension) as you can see with demo...when using my extension did you use the property to disable the jQuery it uses??, this is so it wont conflict with other jQuery objects or extensions??

You have files and folders missing on the server that are for the accordion!! please ensure that you have upload all files and folders so that it will work...see example image of all folders and files needed also viewing your source code it looks like you have not disabled the jQuery in my extension...

Sorry I don't have that. There is no WYSIWYG Web Builder Extension on mine, the list ends after paypal. I have 6 not 7.

It really doesnt matter if you are using V6 or V7, this is the way extensions are used in WB in all versions.
Few questions:

Qs1. In version 6 where did you install the extension?
As1.Unzip and paste the files(a .wbx and a pdf file) inside 'C:\Program Files\WYSIWYG Web Builder 6'(install folder)

Qs2. Can you see the extension name in the extension list?
As2. Once you have put the extension as mentioned in As1, restart WB
This list of extensions is under 'ToolBox' panel or see it here - 'Menu>Insert>WYSIWYG Web Builder Extensions'
If you still dont see the extension you installed, Right click on any of the extensions in the list and click on 'Reset Toolbox'

Qs3. How to bring the extension on your page?
As3.
1) If you are bringing from the 'ToolBox'
Take the mouse over the extension text and left click the mouse....now drag your mouse back onto your page keeping the left mouse button clicked....once on the page, release the mouse left button....now the extension is on your page.....double click on and the properties will open
2) If you are using 'Menu>Insert>WYSIWYG Web Builder Extensions'
Goto the list and left click mouse on the extension text...now goto you page and your cursor will change into a big plus sign ( + )....left click on your page and drag the mouse for an inch and leave the left mouse button...now the extension is on your page....double click and the properties will open.

Hey Bacon,
This is a really nice extension.
But I find there is a major issue when you use this extension along with Jordans jor_piecemaker2 extension ( viewtopic.php?f=42&t=35837&p=178582&hil ... r2#p178582).
I tried everything I could think of... remove jquery in your extension settings...make the page 'None' instead of HTML 4.1 but the page looked a disarray and the image was not spreading across the full screen. It worked in the preview....but moment I uploaded on the server these issues cropped in.
Can you kindly check please.
I posting this to Jordan too....hope there can be some solution

I cant really say why this is happening as I havnt tried jordans extension along with the full background it just may be that you cannot use these two scripts together but if I find anything I will post...

I dont know what I am doing wrong....this plugin just doesnt want to work for me in IE8.
It works fine in FF, Chrome but in IE8 either the image wont show or it will not be stretched!

nope it doesn't work ... that was my hunch

it is a timing issue in the full-background script, the jQuery 'ready' runs before the function completes correct
if you (preview) run it once in IE, it will run correct, but if you run it a 2nd, 3th, 4th etc etc time
then with multiple tabs open the script most likely will fail (won't run at all or incorrect)
it can be fixed by adding a setttimout, but BaconFries would have to change this in his script
or you can change it manually in your page

change this line ...

jQuery(function($) {
$("#background").fullBg();
});

to this ...

jQuery(function($) {
$("#background").css('visibility','hidden');
setTimeout(function() {$("#background").fullBg();$("#background").css('visibility','visible')}, 180);
});

it's the least unobtrusive I can come up with that should work .

Drats! Now for some reason, after downloading 7.5.1 the conflict with this extension and WB Slideshow has returned. I even tried your new version released on Jan 10. No luck.

Something changed in 7.5.1

Now almost all my sites built with WB and using extensions have conflicts. If I update a page in 7.5.1 that was previously published in 7.5 or less with no issues, the 7.5.1 pages are jacked. It's not just this extension. JQuery I frame, Random Banner, and others now no longer work properly with other applications.

Maybe Pablo can give some insight into what was modified in 7.5.1

Afternoon protectourlands OK I have managed to ckeck the extension along with the slong with the slideshow and both still work..what I do get is the small yellow triangle bottom left of browser window informing me that it doesnt like the  this is because it sees it as invalid characters. This is strange because this was fine before, I cant say if it has to do with the recent updates to WB but it may well be the case. Maybe a post in general section about this so Pablo cab see as he may not read this ....

The extension is no longer available but I will offer help to why it may not work with other extensions/objects that use jQuery.
If you already have a copy of the extension and are trying to use with the Slideshow object in WB then it will have a conflict to resolve this in the jQuery Full Background properties select it to use other jQuery this will remove the jQuery in the extension and use it from the slideshow. If this doesnt help you can use the extension offered by ZInc if this doesnt work then you will need to ask him for assistance on this.
