I purchased parallax objects yesterday and am unable to get the effects I was hoping to achieve. Here is what I have so far:
http://prwebdzine.com/new. There are 4 layers distinguished by 4 colors. The 1st layer, layer 1, is a docking layer, docked at the top. As you scroll, the next layer (layer 2) comes into view and overlays layer 1.
What I was hoping to achieve with parallax objects is to have layer 2 stop scrolling when it gets to the top of the browser (fully hiding layer 1). Then, as you continue to scroll, layer 3 (the green "clients" layer) would come into view, overlaying layer 2, and then layer 4 (the yellow "contact" layer) would overlay layer 3. I am completely lost, have tried many variations to no avail. Is there a way using parallax objects to achieve this, or did I purchase the wrong extension?
Any tips would be very much appreciated. Thank you - from Peter

You have not even used the extension within your project.

Re: need help with parallax objects
Sorry I forgot the link where I did use the extension http://prwebdzine.com/new/page2.html
This is my latest version after trying many different settings.
As you can see in this current version, layer 3 and 4 don't even show up when you scroll down (as they do on http://prwebdzine.com/new).
In this case, I have layer 1 set to be docked to "fill" the page.
The page is 970px wide and 4000px tall. Each layer is 1000px.

Re: need help with parallax objects
This extension works well with images, that way you will see the effect. It would have the same visual feed back with solid colours. I suggest you make one of your layers (The first one transparent) and then add an image as a background image and assign the extension to that, That way you will see the effect. It certainly works as I myself use this.

That example was precisely what I needed! I'm sure I can get the right settings now, with that bit of a kickstart. Thank you! from Peter
