Some components lock when dragged over a layer

Post by Josep »

I'm using Web Builder 15 x86 and x64 versions.
OS Windows 10 Pro and Windows 7 Pro (in both happen the same)
Seem all work ok but...
Whan dragging several kind of objects like text over a Layer or Layout Grid or even over a table, visually the object get locked.
Some weird happen because is not really frezee, but is not visually in the right place and accepted by the layer.
Exactly the same happen with a table.
And application start not showing correct the content in design time.
Other objects like shape or images, work ok and take the correct place on the layer, but not Text Object, or Article Object, etc...
Any idea about this subject ?

Thank You

Josep

Thank you for your reply.

Is supposed that the update for Direct2D is already installed in Windows 10 or windows 7 SP1 ?

This is only required for Windows 7, Windows 10 support Direct2D built-in.

In that case, I need a demo project so I can see all your settings.

Do you have the latest update?

Yes, I have the latest update.
Anyway no need to do so much. Just create a layer / flexGrid / Table and drag over a text object.
This happen to me in different computers with differents OS.

What is exactly what you need I send to check what happen ?
The WBS file ?

I made a very simple project with a FlexGrid and a Text Object.
Also I have take 2 screen images showing problem.

How to send them ?

PS: With the version 9 I can drag a text into a layer with no problems.

Do you mean that you have nested a layout grid with a layer (or vise versa)?
That will not work because a layer is a fixed container (absolute positions) and a layout grid/flexbox is a flexible container (floating positions)

No no
I used only a FlexGrid and a Text Object.
But happen the same with Tables, Layers...

With the version 9 I was able to drag a Text over a Layer without problems.

How have I to send related files please ?

There are no known issues with text and layers.
To be able to help you, I need to see what you have done.

Sorry I have not read your post about how to send the files.

Please donwload the files ftp://descarga:elcoactual@2.139.213.83/ErrorWB.zip

As you will see, is extremely simple project.
Once I try to drag the text over the FlexGrid fail...
You can see two images. Happen the same with layers, tables...

Thank for the project.
However , I do not see any problems.

Based on the screenshots, I am pretty sure this is related to Direct2D.
Maybe you are running the application in compatibility mode?

Compatibility is a standard Windows feature (right click -> properties -> compatibility)

Did you install Direct2d support on Windows 7?

Oh you mean "Compatibility Mode" from OS.
Yes I tried both, with compatibility and without.
Same result.

About Direct2D is suposed I already have it (My OS is SP1)
But I will try to search for a specific download (not easy because Microsoft policies)

Pablo you was right.

When I have installed Windows6.1-KB2670838-x64.msu the problem was solved.

But is weird that in Windows 10 happen the same.

I will check about Direct2D in Windows 10.

Thank You & Congratulations

Your support is very good !!!
