Google images and the sitemap

Post by Fueler »

Google doesn't seem to find my site images but find many of my competitors images.
I am thinking I have something wrong in my sitemap or I am doing the image alternate text and titles incorrectly.
Can someone point me to any tips or tutorials on images, sitemaps and making google happy in general?
thanks
Dave

I do not think this has anything to do with your sitemap. Images are no in your sitemap.
Did you give your images meaningful names and alt /title tags?

Pablo,
Thanks.
As far as naming I thought I did. That is kind of why I asked. I am looking for an idea of what is proper naming.
How do I get the images tracked in the site map?

There is no option to get images tracked in the sitemap.
Google should automatically pick them up when the names are meaningful.
