Re: Upload Fail
It's not common to use PORT mode, this will not work if you have firewall or if you computer is behind a router.
Please enable 'passive mode'

Re: Upload Fail
As of a couple of days ago I am unable to upload noteablemusic.co.uk to my website.
I made a small change to two pages (one of which previewed correctly and the other simply locked the computer).
I had also saved the new wysiwyg file under a new name - however it does not appear in the backup files.
Has something changed, please?

Re: Upload Fail
@fulbourn as previously mentioned at the following below please ensure the the login details to your server are correct if may also be that your host requires you to use SFTP rather than FTP to upload. If you are using WB 15 then you can set it to use SFTP for uploading to your host.

Some logical questions to ask here:fulbourn wrote: ↑Fri May 08, 2020 8:01 am As of a couple of days ago I am unable to upload noteablemusic.co.uk to my website.

1. Did you upgrade WYSIWYG receontly? If not, then any issues will be caused by your changes and not the program.
2. You say you made a small change to a page and it locked your computer. Can you reproduce this - undo the change - does it work? If not, it's not the change that casused the lockup. If it does work, redo the change, does it lock up again? - if so, then I think Pablo would want to know what the change was - so can you see what you can do? If you can't reproduce it, then it's probably nothing to do with WYSIWYG, but Windows doing it's thing again.
3. The upload doesn't work - did you change anything in the FTP upload? If not, then have you asked your service provider? If you did change something , once again, what did you change?
4. the new filename probably won't appear in the backups until you save changes a second time (depending on what your backup settings are - you don't say).
Apologies if I am being too simplistic here, but I thought it might be worth asking.

Re: Upload Fail
That is very helpful and certainly not too simplistic.
I discovered, by chance, a duplicate page tucked behind its original. I deleted the duplicate.
I changed the security settings in 'Properties'.
I've uploaded again with that wonderful message at the end...successfully uploaded!
I've not yet dared to check the website on the internet - why spoil my day?
