Modal dialog

I have a home page with a Jquery / Bootsrap Welcome dialog
I added a 2nd dialog of the same type to that hoe screen

1) Is it OK to have two of those on the same page?
2) Once I added the 2nd dialog, the close button no longer works

Only one dialog can be active at a time.
