Looking for a way to format text (font, size and color, or selecting s font style) in multiple table cells at once. I've read that I can select the cells, and then press shift while clicking cell properties. That seems to give me a choice of selecting a font style in the Cell Properties pop-up, but doing so does not format the existing text (which is by default it seems, Arial 10 pt black). Instead I must select text in each cell one by one (which takes 3 clicks and a swipe in each cell) to change the text format.
Indeed, even with blank cells, where I've "set" the cell properties as above, if I double-click on a cell to type it will show the chosen format in the menu bar, but when I type it reverts to Arial 10 pt.
Using V. 12.1
Any ideas?

Re: Formatting text in a table
In version 15, you can select all cells and use the cell properties to change the font.
Note that version 12.1 is no longer supported.

Re: Formatting text in a table
Thank you. I upgraded to 15, When I select a column and click Cell Properties while holding shift, I can change alignment, but if I try to change text style, using one of the default styles, such as Alert Text, which should be Verdana 20pt red, it changes the text to Arial 10pt black. Am I doing something wrong?
Re: Formatting text in a table
This works for me:
Step 1
Select all cells
Step 2
Hold the SHIFT key
Step 3
Click "Cell properties' while holding the SHIFT key
Step 4
Change the font
Step 5
Click OK
I am not sure what you mean by 'Alert Text'?

Re: Formatting text in a table
Pablo, thank you. Now that I have version 15 I see that cell properties box gives me access to set the individual text properties (font, color, size, etc.) instead of only selecting a text style.
To address your last comment, "Alert Text" is the name of one of the built-in text styles. However, selecting styles from the cell properties box with a table does not seem to be effective. No matter. I can work around that by setting the specific text properties as above.
Thanks again
David

Re: Formatting text in a table
"Alert Text" is not a standard style. Also, the name is not valid. There may not be spaces the the name of a style.
Re: Formatting text in a table
My apologies. I must have set up those styles myself years ago and forgotten. The name (and others like it with spaces) do work for normal text boxes though, despite my non-compliant form.
Thanks for your help.

Re: Formatting text in a table
Sorry, but the name is not valid.
I strongly recommend to remove the space.
