To remove the content of a table cell, select all and press delete.

To add an image to your post:
- upload the image to your website or another public server
- insert the URL of the image in your post

When I click on the cell, it engages the whole table so deleting the cell deletes the whole table.http://nlakescc.org/Minutes.html

Did you double click in the cell?

It looks like you have successfuly done this before because other cells do have other content.

How did you edit the other table cells?

Can you please share the project so I can see what you have done exactly?

When asked to share a copy of the project it is meant a copy of the .wbs file. To do this you simply upload the .wbs to your own site and provide a url to download from or upload to the likes of Mediafire and provide the download link they generate.

Well, I could not figure out how to get a url address just for the .wbs file so I did the next best thing. http://nlakescc.org/Minutes.html In the table there will be a cell labeled wbs. That is the file I think you are looking for.

I think what IO did to create so much havoc was to select a cell (single click), click on Text and click back to cell. Did get the text brackets but only part of them. Could not enter text then. Must have done that twice as the "double click to edit" is twice.

What should be done is double click on cell, enter text with out Text command and enter. Thanks, Bryan

Sorry, but I do not see the .wbs file on the specified page.

Note that editing text inside a table works the same as editing normal text.

@bgearry why did you remove the link to the .wbs file. Last time I viewed it was there and was coming back to download when I read Pablo's reply saying he couldn't find it. If you still need help then please add the link back....

http://www.gearry.com

I think I have it this time.....maybe. I have to tell you I'm very visually handicapped and use adaptive technology to try and do this plus, Im very new to all of this. Sorry to have taken so much of your time to get this. Just out of curiosity, why could I have just attached the wbs file to this forum? Anyway, the url site is gearry.com. Everything should be explanatory after that....I know I keep saying that! Thank you, Bryan

Hi Bryan when including a url the full path is required this includes the http://www. I have changed this for. Please do not remove the .wbs file from the url just yet so to allow Pablo to read the link and download the file. Attaching of files or uploading has been disabled due to inappropriate use. Please there is no need to be sorry. For the record I to have a visual impairment namely 'Keratoconus'.

Thanks. I created a domain just to host the .wbs file. I won't be deleting it any time soon. I have a eye condition called Retinitis Pigmentosa and have a Seeing Eye dog. Wish he was smart with this web stuff!

Now I understand the reason for putting the .wbs file in a web site. Thanks for explaining it. Bryan

Thank for sharing the file.
However, I do not see any problems.
Also, it looks like you have changed the text. So, does this mean that the problem is solved?

If not, then can you please describe what I need to do to see the error?

The cell in question is
error cell

row 4 Col5

It says: Double click to edit
Double click to edit

I just went to www.gearry.com and the error came right up. Thanks, Bryan

The problem is that this that you are not just using table cells, but you have placed text objects inside a table.
So, you are not editung the text of the table cell but an text object. Which means that you will have to select the text object first.

I suggest to remove all the text objects from the table and use the standard text of the table instead.

so that is the issue. How do I remove that text object? When trying to remove it, it removes the entire table and its contents. When Im using WSIWYG (.wbs) file, I do not see anything in that cell. Only when I see it in a browser do I see the "double click to edit" text. How do I clear the contents of that cell? Thanks, Bryan

- Open the Object Manager
- remove Text22 and Text23

However, I recommend to remove all separate text objects and enter the text directly in the cell.

If you double click an object in the Object Manager then the object gets selected in the workspace.
Also, the debugger in your browser (F12) can be helpful.

I opened F12. I have no idea what Im looking at. Would it be safe to assume that everything I see (F12) is all the text that should be in a cell including the headings? Sorry to be such an idiot. I guess this is the only way I learn. Thanks, Bryan
