Form with email recipient selection option

Post by MUDJ »

Hello.
I've to create a email form responsive. In this email, i've to insert "department". Any department have him email adress (Example of [RZ] Form Placeholder to visualize option http://www.magnawebstudio.com/demo/plac ... /main.html).
To select the option and insert one email for any department, where should i go to edit?
Can anyone help me or give me video links or reference links for this specific function, to be able to select the recipient, so form parameters to modify?
Thanks!
Regards!

Probable my english is not good and the google translator not translate the form correct of the phrase..
Pratically, i not understand the function $MAILTO$ ..where it must be inserted and where instead the field must remain empty so that the email inserted in the values of the combobox elements is used to send email directly at the correct "department" (if it's only this that i've to setting).

1. Set the 'Email address' property of the form to $MAILTO$

2. Add a combobox and set the 'name' property to $MAILTO$

3. Add multiple items to the combobox where the name is a name/department and the value is the email address.

I think you will have to take a few steps back. Your form looks very complicated and I have no idea where to start looking.

I suggest to start with a simple form, where you only implement the 'department' functionality.
Once you have that part working you can go and integrate it in your other forms.

If you run into a problem with the demo form then please share the project so I can see all your settings.

Sorry... How many layout grids can I insert into a form contained in a single grid with the form enabled? Because if I put everything in one grid it works correctly. If I insert the fields in multiple grids so that they are correctly adapted to the responsive page, obviously all the grids contained in a single grid enabled for the form mail, it creates the error on sending. Thanks for reply.

Your page has multiple nested forms. This is not supported in HTML.
There should only be one form, usually the outer grid.

The form is in php.
Not understand why the big DEMO FORM work perfectly with multi form in multi grid layout (all in one grid layout) and this last form not. You have modify a WWB in this 2-3 years for create a form? (It's possible flex grid it is a replacement of the layout grid? Because if the DEMO FORM work perfectly with layout grid.. all responsive, i've just make copy and paste form in other web project and published into same server, same hosting and same web site (only create a new folder to contain web project to test), but the form have to work. In my site, i've 7 complex form and all works. I can only imagine that a modification has been made to the WWB and now there is no longer the possibility of doing the same thing that I could have done before.

Why this forms work perfectly with 4/12 layout grid (more complex with 10 upload file):
https://mdivisiongroup.com/contactsform ... ontact.php (4 layout grid to one and one setting to form)
https://mdivisiongroup.com/contactsform ... tebook.php(12 layout grid to one and one setting to form)
https://mdivisiongroup.com/contactsform ... letter.php(4 layout grid to one and one setting to form)
https://mdivisiongroup.com/contactsform ... ctweb.php#(4 layout grid to one and one setting to form)
https://mdivisiongroup.com/contactsform ... stions.php(12 layout grid to one and one setting to form)
https://mdivisiongroup.com/contactsform ... ontact.php(5 big layout grid to one and one setting to form)
https://mdivisiongroup.com/contactsform ... motext.php(5 big layout grid to one and one setting to form)

And this form work only in this mode with only one layout grid?
https://mdivisiongroup.com/sitidemo/FER ... ntatti.php

Not is strange this?
Please, help me to resolve or tell me if the problem consist to programming the new update versions of WWB.
Likely something has been changed at the form level?
Thanks.

Please note that I cannot see what you have done based onthe HTML code.
However, I do see that you have multiple nested forms. This is not correct. There should only be one form.

This has nothing to do with WWB. It is a HTML rule.

Ok... i understand is out of rule, but i've created this website in 2009.. and with WWB i've start to use with WWB9 or WWB10 (not remember).
at that time, it was not possible to create many things at the form level and therefore it was easier to create more forms, and simple .. which over time became more complex because it required more data based on the current regulations of my sector. Now, the fact of being able to create a multi-page form, for me it could be an essential thing to group all the forms into a single form. When responsive grids were created, everything was much more complex but at the same time simplified. I also create websites and to test sites, of course, I upload inside my server. But for what I'm doing, it would take a lot of time to group them because there are many variables to be considered and inserted, variables to be hidden and displayed, without considering the "previous" and next "buttons that must take into account all the pages to be to develop. For that I have done before to create a form for every situation. However they are working and I don't understand why this doesn't work like the others. However, placing it in a single layout grid works correctly. I regret not being able to insert the form in multiple grids to make it responsive as I would like.
However, I will also adjust to others so as not to underestimate the W3 rules.
Thanks anyway for the tip. I didn't know about this rule!
Have a good day!
Regards!

Note that you can use nested grids, but you cannot use nested forms.
This means that the outer grid should be the form. For all inner grids the 'Enable form' property should be OFF.

If you need further assistance then please share a demo project so I can see what you have done.

Important note: I do not need the full project, only basic page with the form.
