How can this be done?

Post by Alan »

I would like to develop a simple website called Alderney, through the ages. This will be a photo gallery based website, but rather than the usual slide show where hundreds of photos will be displayed (Yawn!) I hoped to break it up into categories.
With normal software (which I am familiar) this can be achieved by tagging the photos with keywords to select a category.
I could place the photo manually into a category, as they are added but this has the downside of duplicating a photo that matches several categories.
I am looking for something rather more slick.
Any good ideas?
Than you in anticipation.

There is currently no standard solution for this.
But in the next version (planned for later this year), the gallery will support categories/filters.

In the meantime this may be useful:

Thank you Pablo, the link was my first thought solution.
The good news is your next update. That would seem to be the perfect answer.
In the meantime, I will bash on with a manual approach and see where the idea takes me.
I always have this dilemma when faced with the option of web or an app. I find it hard to grasp why, after all this time, it is so difficult to manipulate data on the web as I can in an app.

I appreciate your help. I love your web builder.
