Photogallery with links to pages

I am pretty new with WYSIWYG web builder and I am trying several things to learn how it works.

I would like to make some sort of grid with images (from our products). If you click on an image it should open the webpage of this product.

I know how to ad an image and add a link to a "Page in this project" and this works.

But I disocered the PhotoGallery and I like how easy you can add an image to this. This is important to me, because this page will have more products added in the future.
I saw that if I edit one of the images in this gallery, there is an option to add a link and I can choose "Page in this project". I was thinking that in this way I could add a link to every image in the PhotoGallery.

But if I click on an image in the gallery, I am not redirected to the webpage of the link, but it openbs the image itself.

Am I missing something, or is this not possible with the PhotoGallery?
Are there other/better ways to get a grid with images with links to seperate web pages?
As said, it is important to be able to add images later as easy as possible.

Sorry if it is somethin very simple, but I am still learning a lot and did not succeed to find it with Google or this forum....

To active the links, make sure the "Gallery mode" is set to 'Use Links'
