form not working
ok, the more i try to do with wysiwyg the more frustrated i get, i've tried forms before and might have been a bit ambitious, so i stripped it back to basics. a simple form using the wizard, set up the settings
https://ibb.co/kGWj57v
all good, not so. When i go back into setting
https://ibb.co/wRrHsTx
upload the form with .php format and i get a 500 error message
https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ar_qzWsihagxgbQbgkP ... g?e=jDq9xB
form is entered from the main picture on the index page.
Any help???????

Re: form not working
Maybe your host does not support PHP?upload the form with .php format and i get a 500 error message
Found issue: The form does not have a success and error page.
Everything else seems to be correct.

WYSIWYG is a very complex piece of software with a myriad of options for just about anything you want to do - this is driven by the 'professional' users who actually use it in their business of selling websites.
The downside to this is that the more casual user can be overwelmed by all the options and tick boxes for what they are trying to do. There is an easy mode but i find it gives you probably 80% of what you need but for other things you have to 'dip' into the full version. This is not a criticism as its impossible to cater for every user.
All I would say is that its worth persevering with and on the positive side the forum provides great support and invariable points you in the right direction.
Bottom line is try not to get too frustrated and make use of the font of knowledge that is the forum.
Oh - and in this case read the help files haha .... I know its not a manly thing to do but usually they do provide the answers to things you may have missed.

Re: form not working
to pablo, host recommends i change system to linux for some reason says it suports php7.3
from host, ( As per checking on the previous chat that you have, you wanted to change the PHP version to 7.3. However, in windows OS, PHP 7.3 is not available. Also, this contact form that you trying to add in your website is a scripting we can only provide a smtp server to support your contact form.)
to brynj, im an avid reader and read everything i can and copy each direction and still get nowhere.

Re: form not working
The built-in form script only works with PHP.
If you hosting account does not support PHP then you will need to use a third party form processing script or switch to linux hosting.

@davehappen
Hi Dave, no problem it just read like you had not created the 'success & error' pages.

Re: form not working
If auto responder is not working then your settings may be wrong.
If you need further assistance then please try to be more specific.

Re: form not working
The settings look correct, but is the name of the input field on the form 'email'?

Re: form not working
No, I meant the input field for the email address on your form.
