WYSIWYG Web Builder FAQ
Hidden objects
Hi Pablo, the option to "Render Hidden Objects" does not seem to be working. If I select the option in "View" and hide the object in the Object manager it cannot be seen as a greyed out object.

Re: Hidden objects
Maybe it's not inside the viewport?

Re: Hidden objects
It's when its inside the workspace that it happens, its invisible, if I take the object out of the workspace then it is greyed out.

Re: Hidden objects
Thanks for the project, but what do I need to do to see the problem?
Note that hidden layout grids will not be render because they are floating, so they have no size when hidden.

Re: Hidden objects
Select any object, go to object manager and uncheck "Visible", the object is not visible as a greyed out object even though "Render Hiden Objects" is selected.
Check "Visible" in the Object Manager and move the object from the workspace to a blank area and uncheck "Visible" in the object manager, the object can now be seen as a greyed out object.

Re: Hidden objects
To which specific object is this related?
Re: Hidden objects

Re: Hidden objects
I have uploaded a bare bones project. There are two Gomenus, one inside a layout grid and one on its own.
The one inside the layout grid disappears and the one on its own gets greyed out.

Re: Hidden objects
This is normal behavior.
Floatings elements do not have a size when they are hidden. They are removed from the document flow.

Re: Hidden objects
Thank you for clarifying that for me.
Re: Hidden objects
Pablo, I think there is a misunderstanding here, I am not talking about hidden objects when published I am talking about the feature to "Render Hidden Objects" within the program.
For example if I create a project and have different breakpoints all with the same objects but I want to remove an object from a breakpoint then I hide that object in that breakpoint but I am still able to see its position in that breakpoint because it is greyed out, isnt that the idea of the Render Hidden Objects choice within the "View" selection
Cheers

Re: Hidden objects
I was also referring to that.Pablo, I think there is a misunderstanding here, I am not talking about hidden objects when published I am talking about the feature to "Render Hidden Objects" within the program.
The option "Render Hidden Objects" is only useful for fixed/absolute layouts. Because only then the object will take up space.
In floating/flexible layouts, hidden objects do not take up space because their size is zero.
