*** SOLVED *** Can't publish, password not allowed

Post by Maggie02631 »

Go Daddy migrated hosting from our old Web Hosting Linux to our new Linux Hosting with cPanel. Now I can't publish & wysiwyg gives me a password not allowed message. I'm not sure what to do/how to do it, Go Daddy said contact wysiwyg. Thank you for your help! Maggie02631

I am not sure why they told you to contact us, if the problem is in the GoDaddy server. Only GoDaddy can tell you the correct settings.

Did you make sure the server, username and password are correct?
Maybe you will need to switch to Secure FTP?

Spoke with Go Daddy again. They say that info on the wysiwyg program on my computer needs to be changed. I have the updated FTP info from them but am unsure how to proceed. Thank you, Maggie02631

As each host is different it is difficult to give specific details for GoDaddy unless you happen to have them as your host. However perhaps the following link will helphttp://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/publish.html

You can change the FTP settings in the publish window.

Can you please be more specific about what information you need from me?

If you are having too much problem when publishing, then export your project files on local directory folder and then use FileZilla FTP to upload it if still then the problem occurs I give you 100% percent guarantee that it is GoDaddy's fault which they are not concerned about. It must bee something with the migration of their Linux to the new Linux C-panel.

Pablo & lummis,
Thank you very much for your help. I was able to enter the new FTP info & successfully publish.
