I'm a new user and have been using v16 for a short while, and then upgraded to latest version. Now, when I click on the desktop icon I get an error message: "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\mfc140u.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error."
It also goes on to say try re-installing - finishing with: "Error status 0xc000007b."
I have uninstalled, deleted all references in the registry to 'WYSIWYG16' searched for using the Registry Editor, re-installed, and yet the same problem occurs.
Any advice/help please? Using Win10 Pro.
I'm not really a "techie" although I have a limited knowledge of solving issues - but this one's got me!
Thanks

Re: Error status 0xc000007b
This error is not directly related to the software.
This is a system file (created by Microsoft).
Installing the following may solve the problem:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... x?id=48145
if that does not work then you computer may not be 100% compatible with 64bit, in that case you can try the 32bit version of the software.

Re: Error status 0xc000007b
Many thanks for the quick response.
Tried the software link - but when installing that there's a problem too!!
However, the 32bit version has installed fine and has opened a couple of the projects I was working on in the 64bit version - so all will be OK hopefully!
Next time I shut down and re-boot, I'll have another go at installing the Microsoft Visual file, and if that installs OK I'll try installing the 64bit version of WYSIWYG16 again.
Thanks for at least getting me out of trouble!!

Sorry about that - didn't know it had to be the same one. Now changed.
