Scrolling

Post by laros »

Hello,

I have a question regarding "scrolling".

I would like to have some text on a page and next to it there should be an arrow. And when you click on arrow i would need it to automatically scroll down a page a little bit to the point that i set.

Is it possible to do and can you please tell me which function should i use it?

Thank you!

Best regards

Where you are scrolling to, place a bookmark object. Then set a link on the arrow to that bookmark. For smooth scrolling make sure to set that in the bookmark.

You stated:

Wherever that point you set (the spot where you are scrolling to), is where you place the bookmark object.

I am using Slide Menu and i would like that when i click on Item inside the Slide Menu that it would scroll down to the point i want. I have tried what you have said but I couldn't do it. Can you please describe it a little bit more precise how to do it? Thank you!

1. Insert bookmark object where you want to scroll to.
2. Open properties of bookmark and enable smooth scrolling. Take note of the ID of the bookmark.
3. Insert slide menu, click on link tab and in the 'link' section make sure it is the following:

link to: page in this project
Bookmark: choose Bookmark1 from the drop down (or whatever the ID of the bookmark is)

That's it.

Keep in mind also that layers and layout grids can be bookmarks themselves. So if you want to scroll to particular layer/layout grid, open up the properties, choose the bookmark tab and enable smooth scrolling there. Then for 'bookmark' above you would choose the ID of the layer/layout grid.
