file not opening

Post by mrwillow »

Hi,

I've recently changed laptops and brought over to it three WB files relating to websites built. However, while two open up, the one that I want to use does not. Also, this non-working one still opens on my old laptop.

Please advise,

DC

We need more information:

So, for starters - what error message do you get? What files did you 'bring over' and where did you put them? Did you include all the sub directories associated with your site?

Cheers

Hi Alan,

The error message simply says: "Failed to open document". As for the rest, as far as I am aware I carried over all the appropriate files and folders, and indeed one of my other WB project files opens, and all its associated files and folders were carried over in exactly the same way.

Usually this indicates that extensions used by the project are missing.
Make sure you copy the entire 'Documents\WYSIWYG Web Builder folder to the other computer.
