Publishing: some pages messed up
Hi
I have published the website - http://suncofix.co.uk
Many pages are messed up.
On preview everything was perfect
Example:
Please check and compare
http://suncofix.co.uk
http://suncofix.co.uk/SC-GM01-Aluminium ... System.php
Can someone advise what is wrong?
And for some reason ICON is not displayed anymore

Re: Publishing: some pages messed up
There is no difference between local preview and the published files. In both cases, the exact same files will be generated.
Possible reasons why it does not look correct :
- maybe you have used invalid file names. See this related FAQ: https://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/forum ... f=10&t=131
- maybe you did not have publish all files?
Also, if you use Layout Grid then the page alignment should not be set to 'center'

Re: Publishing: some pages messed up
Thanks
I have removed Centering from all page Properties but silly question to follow:
How to remove the command to "Center in page" given to individual Layout Grids on page?

What do you mean by this? How to remove the command to "Center in page" given to individual Layout Grids on page?
Re: Publishing: some pages messed up
1. Right click on grid
2. Menu comes up
3. 9th (usually) from the bottom - Center in Page

Re: Publishing: some pages messed up
This option is only useful for fixed/absolute layouts.
It will not do anything in flexible layouts, because in that case the layout grid or flex container controls the size and position of the object.

Re: Publishing: some pages messed up
Thank you
I worked through Asset manager and replaced all "offending" names
Checked page "Centralization"
It helped bit
But I found out that: If I publish each "offending" page individually it rectifies the issues
What do you think causes the "corruption"?

Re: Publishing: some pages messed up
Maybe you have used the same image names in different pages?
Note that I cannot see what you have done based on the published HTML.
To be able to help you, I need a demo project.

Re: Publishing: some pages messed up
Can you please remove everything from the project that is not relevant to your question?
Now, I have no idea where to start looking.

Re: Publishing: some pages messed up
Can you please describe exactly where I need to look to see the problem?
Re: Publishing: some pages messed up
Problem is obvious only online (preview is perfect)
Please go online and check all of this:
http://suncofix.co.uk/index.php
http://suncofix.co.uk/SC-GM01-Aluminium ... System.php
http://suncofix.co.uk/SC-GM02-Aluminium ... System.php
http://suncofix.co.uk/SC-GM-CS01-U-Stee ... System.php
I am sure you will notice the difference
I have been working on this for couple of weeks and it was fine online as well
Not sure, but it feels like that problems started when yesterday I added "Request a Quote" hidden dialog
I have tried to remove it but to no avail
Thank you!

Re: Publishing: some pages messed up
It looks like the HTML on the server is corrupt.
The HTML is not the same as when I locally publish the page.
Are you using the latest version of the software?
Also, why have you used so many nested layout grids?
For example, in suncomount-english-master-product, the following layouts grids do not seem to have any use:
LayoutGrid1
LayoutGrid4
LayoutGrid5
LayoutGrid6
LayoutGrid7
LayoutGrid8
LayoutGrid9
LayoutGrid12
I suggest to keep the layout as simple as possible.

Re: Publishing: some pages messed up
Thank you very much!
I am self taught amateur - learning as I go
Very grateful for your remarks
I am going to talk to host provider bit later today
But it looks like I will need to go through each page revising fonts one by one
BTW - it looks like I can not get rid of one of the outside fonts I used initially, with the help of Global Replace
It does not work trough the whole site. And only effective in page by page effort
