From Master Frame to Master page

Post by va3ts »

Currently our site uses a master frames and it works very well. https://gbarc.ca/index.php However, users have asked to be able to edit parts of the site and so I used the editable content object. This also works very well on https://gbarc.ca/meetings.php ... the issue seems to be when I want to include an editable content box on another page in the same project. I asked previously and the answer was to use a Master page.

Is this as simple an renaming the master_frame to master_page and editing to page properties to use the page instead of the frame... and publish

Then I should be able to add an editable content object elsewhere and be able to edit it from the Editable Content Admin page.... am I in the right ballpark here...best regards Tom

The name of the page does not really matter. The difference is that a master frame uses a 'content place holder' and a master page renders behind the content of the page.
I have not tried this myself, but the 'editable content' object may also work with your master frame.
