Cannot open Extension Builder

Greetings,

Sorry for the stupid question, but how do you run(open) the Extension Builder software?
I tried all possible options - not working. Software doesn't open. Also tried to open the 6.4 ver.
I have WB 15.4.

Simply download, unzip to say your desktop and like other applications either right click open on just double click.
Perhaps your AV or Firewall blocks it in this case you will need to add it to there list of exceptions so to be able to run.

I add exception to the Windows Firewall and to Eset Antivirus and it still not works. I see a sign that it starts to open up, but nothing happens

I think that something is blocking the application. Either your firewall, virusscanner or something else related to permissions.

Did you reboot after giving permissions?

I tried all to disable all protection Firewall (+restart with rules) and Antivirus - the same. program not opens.
Also i tried to find something regarding the name in registry. After changing ShowLicense 5.5 to 1 in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Pablo Software Solutions\ExtBuilder\Settings appears End User License Agreement

Only one other thing or maybe two that I can think of is have you tried running as an Administrator? or if using windows 10 turning of Ransomware?. Although I do not share extensions anymore I still have a copy of the Extension Builder installed with no issues. Other than what has been suggested I can't think of anything else sorry.

Also i tried to run as admin. Windows defender + Ransomware disabled. (Eset Antivirus, not Internet security)
What else can I do?

Pablo, I tested on another PC(win 10 pro, ver2004, this pc without wwb). Win Firewall and Eset antivirus.
Also tried with disabled firewall and antivirus.
And finally i temporary switched off the PI-hole, the issue still remains.

Yes. At least 6-7 times. (from Chrome, Firefox)

I'm sorry, but I do not think there is anything wrong with the software.
This tool has been available for many years now and there were never any problems like this.
I still think something (another tool like a firewall, virusscanner) is preventing it from running.

Extension Builder is not an official part of WYSIWYG Web Builder It is a standard alone application, provided "AS IS".
However to use it, you must have a license for WYSIWYG Web Builder.

It is an independent standalone program.

When you download the program, it is delivered in a zip file, containing the actual program and a PDF help file. All you need to do is un-zip the downloaded file to anywhere you wish... your desktop, for example.

Once un-zipped, run the program by clicking on ExtBuilder.exe just like you would with any other Windows program. Don't over think it. )

I really can't understand what prevent this program to run.
1. Tried in 2 PC and 1 laptop (Only one have installed wb)
2. Tried with disabled Eset Antivirus and Windows firewall in all computers (all computers connected to the net via PI-hole, also was disable for the test)
3. I have the latest framework and visual c++ redis.

If someone have any idea how to track/check/analyze in real time or make a log - what's happens when I run this soft.

This is not intended to offend or accuse you in anyway...but are you using a licensed copy of WB15? If not then you will not be able to use. You also mentioned that you have tried on another PC and it still wouldn't run this is because you will need to a copy of the software on each PC both must be licensed. Do you have a previous version of WB installed say WB14 licenced? if so remove WB 15 and try again with just WB14.

Please note that the Extension Builder is not part of the software it is provided "Free" and "asis" without any guarantee. Also please do not post / write any license or email details used to purchase here for security reasons.

So after analysis of the problem, the program faults with 2 errors: Exception code: 0xc000041d, 0xc0000005
With process monitor ver. 3.83 program i logged all the tasks.

1. windows upgrade / update / repair (chkdsk, sfc, DISM) - not solve.
2. On laptop, only after new windows install - solved.(On this PC the new install cannot be done.)

Thanks in advance for analyzing log and what is the cause of an error.

Do you mean that it now works?
So, that indicates that the fault was not in the software, right?

Pablo, the problem was not in your soft it was clear and without any doubt.
The problem is on my computers. And that I'm trying to figure out why?
I have hundreds of installed software's and only ONE doesn't work ...

It is difficult for me to figure out which of all these apps is incompatible with Extension Builder.
Note however that my focus is on the development WYSIWYG Web Builder.
Extension Builder only has very few users so I cannot spend too much time on this.
