Unstable Layer top of page work page

Post by Bazza2 »

Hello
I am using a Master frame with my project and it works fine with all the work space pages in the site manager viewing correctly

When I place a LAYER full width hard up against the top of one of the work space pages in the site manager and F5 it works perfect and the detail
from the master frame views perfect above it

When I check relative horizontal sizing in the layer and F5 the layer is viewing top of the live page residing in amongst the detail from the Master Frame.

If I drag the LAYER down the page away from the top of the page it views perfect.

The handle in the contact place holder is in the right position in the master frame being under the Layer.

Has anyone knowledge of what I am doing wrong I hope I explained the problem clearly.

If not let me know and I will upload my website showing the problem and dent my site URL to view
Thanks

More Help

See URL
http://www.baseballcap.net.au/

Using page links called Home page or standard range (They are the same link)

It can be seen the brown layer is top of page over the pictorial detail from the master frame.

I have an insert there of the work page before uploading.
It can be seen the brown layer was on top of the Green cap and the red layer on top of the Black cap.

Both have moved up the page

Untick Relative Horizontal Sizing and the problem does not exist.

Thanks
Barry

And finally I think I worked it out LOL

Glad most of you Guys and Girls are asleep-saves me the embarrassment.

You can only put a layer checked for Horizontal sizing in a header or footer of some description (In my case the master frame)

Let me know if I am right.

To be able to help you, I need a DEMO project so I can see all your settings.

Note: I do not need the complete project because that will only take more time to figure out what you have done.
Basically, I just need a small project with one page and object(s) that are relevant to your question.

Please see this FAQ for further details:

Thanks Pablo

I see what you mean. Certainly would make it easier to see my problem. I can save my project to a new name and then delete all the pages and just work with the Master frame and one page to indicate my problem.

I do not understand how I can present that to you as I would not want to take down my whole site and then just publish 1 page website.
I doubt you are indicating that.

Please explain more

THanks
Barry

Pablo means you create your demo project (.WBS file) and then copy that file and the subdirectory it created (maybe zip them up) to a public location on the internet (e.g. Dropbox). Post the link to that file in this forum.
