Re: RECOMMENDED HARDWARE FOR 17
I believe that software development has always been ahead of hardware development. That is why I believe you should get the fastest system you can afford.
Re: RECOMMENDED HARDWARE FOR 17
Depending on what you plan on doing with the computer will make a difference in what you should get. Are you a gamer or do you want something simple to shop and read email?
There will be others who disagree, but If someone asked me what they should look for in a new desktop computer, I would say at the following:
1. Get an Intel Core i7 processor (i5 minimum if price is an issue)
2. Get as much RAM as possible. At least 16GB and expandable if possible. The more RAM the better things run.
3. Get an SSD drive with as much space as you think you need.
4. Get a quality graphics card. Doesn't need to be high end unless you are gaming or doing major graphics work.
FYI: I'm not saying you need the above for WB17.

Re: RECOMMENDED HARDWARE FOR 17
There are no special hardware requirements.
However, for larger projects, you will need more memory.
The 64bit versions supports 'unlimited' memory.
